Question: We are moving to the area in March and need to decide about schools, before finding a neighborhood to live in. Thus far our child has attended a private Christian school.
Can you tell me about the private school options in the area ?

In Toano there is Williamsburg Christian Academy I have many friends and co workers whose children attend. All are extremely happy with the school.
Another great private school, while not christian is Hampton Roads Academy in Newport News. They have a bus that travels to Williamsburg to pick up students. Again I know many whose children have attended. All have been extremely happy. I think everyone has their own outlook on the education of their children. I would suggest visiting each one personally to see if they are a fit for you and your children. York County Schools are widely respected as well. As I indicated previously we have been very happy with James City County Schools where our two children attend. My wife works for the school system, My sister is a principal in York County. My neighbor is a principal in neighboring New Kent.
About half of my neighborhood teaches in James City County or the College of William and Mary.
