Record Setting Traffic accident on I 64

I wish I could post some photos of the accident I yesterday. After sitting on I 64 near Lee Hall for 2.5 hours yesterday the State Police closed the road and routed all traffic off of the highway.  The road literally turned into a sheet of ice as we were driving on it. It felt like were were on an ice rink. Traffic was backed up for miles east of Williamsburg .

One drive did film the incident and post it on Youtube:

According to State Police Sgt. Michelle Cotten, more than 70 incidents on I-64 between Williamsburg and Newport News were reported. Of the 70 incidents, 41 calls were for accidents which caused property damage, six calls were for motor vehicle accidents involving non-life threatening injuries, one call was for an overturned tractor trailer, 19 calls were for disabled motorists, and 3 calls were for "other" non-motor vehicle related incidents.

Surprisingly once I finally got to Rt 199 in Williamsburg the roads were fine. I guess by then VDOT  was able to spread chemicals on the highway.
