Since moving to Bowling green ky. I have been on the Humane Society’s Fur Ball committee, I am also involved with big Brothers Big sisters events. I recently have been asked to be on the Rainhill Equine Rescue board but declined due to our move. I am still very much involved and will continue to do as much as I can for their fund raising. After we settle in my hope is to be involved in fund raising for your Humane Society and any other event that might find me useful. We a looking forward to our move to Stonehouse. If you want to help- take the sons whose dad is gone, (and likely no other extended family member nearby) and include them in your family outings. (hiking/BBQ/fishing/biking) They need a male role model. I did my best as a mom, but I’m not a man. They needed that male guidance. The husband is home now – but his absence for so long….changed who our children were meant to be. Make a difference in the next military family you meet- with action, not words.

When I was growing up in Virginia there were no laws about Halloween and as I remember it we started trick or treating as soon as it got dark, cause that was in the spirit of the holiday. Now restricting kids to two hours of fun is just wrong. Ill give out candy up to the witching hour as long as I keep getting little ghouls and goblins coming to my house.
