Lodging in Williamsburg Va

One question asked by quite a few prospects I work with is; ‘ We are coming to view properties in Williamsburg. Where would you suggest we stay ?

I’m always afraid to recommend an hotel for fear they won’t like it and that it will reflect on me but here goes.

Depending on your budget and what your lodging preferences are.

If you want to experience the ambiance of Colonial Williamsburg try http://www.colonialwilliamsburgresorts.com/hotels/deluxe/colonialhouses These are actually small dwellings scattered throughout the restored area.

If you want something more elegant try the Williamsburg Lodge or the Williamsburg Inn http://www.colonialwilliamsburgresorts.com/hotels/premium/williamsburginn or http://www.colonialwilliamsburgresorts.com/hotels/premium/williamsburglodge

If you want to stay at a Marriott that is inside of Fords Colony ( a Residential Neighborhood) try http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/phfvi-marriotts-manor-club-at-fords-colony/ You can eat at the restaurant in the Ford’s Colony Country Club and take strolls throughout the neighborhood/ply a round of golf at one of the three great golf courses.

For dinner try The Fat Canary ( reservations advised) or the Blue Talon
