John Womeldorf is Mr. Williamsburg, sharing his thoughts, real estate expertise, and “all things Williamsburg” in an effort to spread the word that Williamsburg, Virginia is the greatest place on earth to live!

“I chose Virginia first and foremost because of academics,” Will Hill said following his announcement at Lafayette High School in Williamsburg VA  on Friday. “I think Virginia is just a couple of pieces from turning the corner in football

Will Hill, a senior at Lafayette High in Williamsburg, announced this morning that he plans to play football at the University of Virginia. A 6-4, 255-pound defensive end, Hill is U.Va.‘s 22nd commitment for 2009. Other schools that extended scholarship offers to Hill included Maryland, Tennessee, Connecticut, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State and South Carolina.

Hill, an excellent student, is on schedule to graduate from Lafayette this month and plans to start classes at U.Va. next month.

U.Va. historically has not allowed freshmen athletes or otherwise to enroll at midyear, but the school has modified its policy in recent years.

Hill had 14 sacks this season and was named Region I defensive player of the year
