Williamsburg VA Trolley

New Town Trolley The Williamsburg trolley is your new, inexpensive means of connection to your favorite restaurants, the New Town movie theater, shopping extravaganzas in New Town’s many stores and boutiques, and above all a fun and carefree way to get where you’re going in no time at all.

You’ll recognize it when you see it. The Williamsburg trolley is classic in design, a traditional red and green with yellow pinstripe detailing, and of course there’s the signature brass bell. The trolley is air conditioned, fully handicap-accessible, and has convenient bicycle racks over the front exterior cow catcher. On beautiful days, the trolley’s windows fully open for an exciting fl ow of fresh air, just like the originals.
During your trip, the driver will point out historic sites, restaurants and must-visit attractions. The trolley operates a continuous loop daily to Williamsburg’s favorite communities of Merchants Square, the Williamsburg Shopping Center, High Street and New Town, including stops near the College of William & Mary. Convenient connection points along the route make it easy to transfer to Williamsburg Area Transport or Colonial Williamsburg buses.
Trolley One departs from New Town’s Legacy Hall and travels through High Street and Williamsburg Shopping Center to its destination on Prince George Street in Merchants Square. Trolley Two repeats the same route back to New Town and the Legacy Hall stop. Seven days a week the trolley operates from 3 – 10pm Monday through Thursday; 3 – 11pm Friday; 11am – 11pm Saturday; and noon – 8pm on Sunday. I
