Top Retirements a website devoted to places to retire has named The Settlement at Powhatan Creek in Williamsburg/ James City County VA. among the 25 Best Active Adult Communities for 2009.
The top communities were chosen on the basis of visitor popularity at the website Jan. 1-Aug. 1.The communities with the most page visits to their listings were the winners. According to the website, the 55+ communities making the list are, for the most part, from towns that are in the 25 best places to retire at Top retirements.
After checking the website I noted that no other 55+ communities were listed for the Williamsburg VA area. Fords Colony, New Town and Governors Land were listed though. It maybe a coincidence but The Settlement was the only Paid advertiser in the Williamsburg area that was selected.
