Ahold the Dutch company that purchased Ukrops recently has announced that Stop & Shop ( their grocery chain in the northeast) customers will soon be able to buy or sell a home in its stores.
The retailer has entered a five year deal with a Re/Max brokerage to open real estate offices in 15 of its Massachusetts supermarkets. "It’s something innovative that we thought we’d try and we’ll see how it plays out," said Faith Weiner, a Stop & Shop spokeswoman. "We’re optimistic that customers will appreciate it."
