York County is proud to offer the Seventh Annual Rhythms on the Riverwalk concert series, to be held this fall at Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown. The weekly concert series will take place on the performance stage, overlooking the York River.
This five-week concert series will once again feature some of the area’s finest in jazz and big band music. In addition, country music will once again be featured in this year’s line-up.
The series will be held on Fridays from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 9, 2011 and running through Oct. 7, 2011. The entertainment schedule is as follows:
· Sept. 9 Super Jazz Band featuring Conni Mann
· Sept. 16 Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra
· Sept. 23 Glen Boswick and The Sounds of Swing Orchestra
· Sept. 30 Doug Dunn and the Steel River Band
· Oct. 7 Dave Cynar Band
The series is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs. Food will be available for purchase. Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots throughout Yorktown.
