The Peninsula Housing and Builders Association (PHBA) announced it will host its 2013 Parade of Homes at Founders Pointe in Isle of Wight County, VA May 4-19.
“Bordered by Batten Bay and James River tributaries, the Founders Pointe community blends beautifully with the surrounding environment,” said PHBA President Tim Cleary. “It’s the perfect backdrop for the creative and innovative homes our builders will offer in the 2013 Parade of Homes.”
The community was twice selected Community of the Year by PHBA, added Cleary. “It is located in a growth corridor in the Carrollton area of Isle of Wight County and has seen new home sales success in recent years.”
Nicely removed from the city, Founders Pointe is convenient to all of Hampton Roads, just 3 miles from the James River Bridge, 12 minutes to I-664 and the Harbour View area, and 25 minutes to downtown Norfolk.
More than 165 families have relocated to Founders Pointe since the grand opening in 2005, upon completion there will be 319.
East West Partners has developed a number of other nearby communities including Eagle Harbor, Smithfield’s Gatling Pointe, Suffolk’s The Riverfront and Liberty Ridge in Williamsburg. Patriot’s Landing (New Kent Co.), and Riverwatch (Gloucester).
The Parade of Homes will feature at least eight fully furnished and landscaped showcase homes ranging from 2,800 to 3,600 square-feet of living space and priced from $500,000 to over $650,000.
Participating builders include: ABT Custom Homes; Birdsong Builders; Edgerton Contracting, Inc.; Garnett Construction; E.R. Lenz Contracting Inc.; Norman Miller Builder Inc.; Les Ore Construction Co. Inc., and Stephen Alexander Homes.
Founders Pointe offers its residents an 844-foot observation pier overlooking Batten Bay, a residents’ club, which features a 4,000-square-foot swimming pool with a 112-foot water slide, a playground, volleyball court and miles of walking trails.
