Brickshire Golf Club is sold

Traditional Golf Properties closed it’s purchase of  The Golf Club at Brickshire in Providence Forge, Virginia on Thursday . The course is located between Williamsburg and Richmond, VA.
brickshiregolf The sale included three North Carolina golf courses from Bluegreen Golf — The Golf Club of Chapel Ridge in Pittsboro, The Preserve at Jordan Lake in Chapel Hill and Carolina National Golf Club in Bolivia.
Traditional Golf Properties will begin operating these courses, which are open to the public and offer membership programs.
That boosts the company’s portfolio to 11 mid-Atlantic golf courses.
Brickshire will become part of Traditional’s multi-course membership program that includes Stonehouse in Toano and Kiskiack in Williamsburg.

Brickshire Golf Course in New Kent to be sold ?

brickshiregolf According to recent post on Richmond Biz Sense. There are is talk on the street that The Golf Club at Brickshire in , a public/private golf course in New Kent County, VA, might be sold to another chain of golf courses.

The current owner, Blue Green Golf, might be in the process of selling the course to Traditional Golf Properties, which owns four other courses around Richmond and Williamsburg, including Royal New Kent, Stonehouse, Kiskiack , The Crossings and Broad Bay in VA Beach.

Neither Blue Green Golf or Traditional Golf Properties  officials would  comment on the issue.

However, an employee at the Brickshire club said that he and other employees had received paperwork about how payroll would transition to the new owner.

It’s unclear how a possible deal might affect members or patrons who pay greens fees.
Construction on Brickshire, which was designed by Curtis Strange, started in 1999.

Traditional Golf Properties lets members of any of its courses play at any other area golf course they own.  Their current special offers include Unlimited greens fees at Royal New Kent, Stonehouse, Kiskiack & The Crossings Golf Clubs.
