Entrepreneur Express: Moving Your Business Forward is Virginia’s showcase program for helping new and early stage businesses. Pilot tested in Southwest Virginia in late 2006, these half-day workshops proved so popular and effective that they were taken statewide in mid-2007. Over 4,000 entrepreneurs have been trained. Entrepreneur Express brings straight talk and local resources to one convenient place so that entrepreneurs can find the information and assistance they need.
These workshops are designed to provide news business startups and existing small businesses information on available business resources and deliver practical, hands-on training covering key elements of business practice. Workshop segments will include information on how to start and operate a business, growing an existing business, marketing strategies, financing and available resources.
A program flier and question and answer guide are available for download.
Entrepreneur Express is partnership between VDBA and many local, state, and Federal resources providers, including Virginia’s Small Business Development Centers, Virginia’s Community College System, Virginia Cooperative Extension, Virginia Tourism Corporation, SCORE, City and County Economic Development offices, and Chambers of Commerce.
