La Tienda hires new COO

imageLa Tienda, the Williamsburg VA, Va.-based specialty importer of gourmet foods from Spain, has hired Jim Easton has joined  as COO. For the previous 10 years, Easter was vice president of the products division with Colonial Williamsburg. He previously worked with retailers such as Toys R Us, Lord & Taylor and Dayton Hudson.
“We are thrilled to have Jim on board, given his vast experience in consumer product marketing and business development,” said Tim Harris, CEO and co-owner. “He’s a terrific addition to our passionate and talented staff at La Tienda.”

 

imageLa Tienda just celebrated its 15th anniversary as an online retailer with distribution channels through the internet, catalog and a retail store.

La Tienda offers more than 800 gourmet foods from Spain. Family-owned and managed, the business is dedicated to working with artisan and small family businesses.

The La Tienda retail store in Williamsburg is a 3600 square foot store offers all of their great products from Spain, plus wine tastings and other special events. There’s always someone on hand to guide your exploration of Spanish food or regale you with stories from the byways of Spain.
