Williamsburg brewery wins beer challenge

And the winner is….Ebenezer Winter Warmer.

imageThe Belmont House of Smoke in Norfolk was the site of Veer Magazine’s Brewmasters Christmas Beer Challenge. The contestants were a handful of holiday beers manufactured by local breweries.

The winning beer, chosen by a panel of five beer connoisseurs, was made by Williamsburg AleWerks. Last week, its manager, Chuck Haines, described Ebenezer’s as “kind of spicy and Christmasy, with cinnamon and vanilla, a little nutmeg – a very pleasant beer.”

More of the story here

For beer lovers in the Williamsburg area you can take a tour of the Aleworks Brewery and taste all the beers currently have on tap for $3.00,
