And the winner is….Ebenezer Winter Warmer.
The Belmont House of Smoke in Norfolk was the site of Veer Magazine’s Brewmasters Christmas Beer Challenge. The contestants were a handful of holiday beers manufactured by local breweries.
The winning beer, chosen by a panel of five beer connoisseurs, was made by Williamsburg AleWerks. Last week, its manager, Chuck Haines, described Ebenezer’s as “kind of spicy and Christmasy, with cinnamon and vanilla, a little nutmeg – a very pleasant beer.”
For beer lovers in the Williamsburg area you can take a tour of the Aleworks Brewery and taste all the beers currently have on tap for $3.00,
Tours include the history of beer and brewing, the story of AleWerks and their ales, and a visit to the brewery where they are brewed.
